What is the acwb?

The ACWB is a non-aligned center that offers counseling and psychological support for students, staff and faculty at Ashoka University. The ACWB was established to offer a safe space that offers free and confidential individual and group counseling support. Furthermore, ACWB resources are spent on promoting the value of good mental health to improve individual coping capacity through skill building. Director Arvinder J Singh founded the center in 2016, and now leads the center.

How to book an appointment

  • Go to the ACWB portal (https://acwb.ashoka.edu.in) and sign in with your Ashoka email ID.

  • You will see names of counsellors; after selecting a counsellor, you will be able to see their available slots (purple boxes). No purple boxes mean that the slots are already booked.

  • If slots for the week already booked (and you see no purple) please write to well.being@ashoka.edu.in with your availability through the week. We will accommodate your request as soon as possible.

  • Alternatively, check if any other counselor is available at a time that works for you.

  • On selecting a slot, a form will pop-up. We recommend you to fill this as accurately as possible.

  • After submitting this form, you will receive a confirmation about the appointment on your Ashoka email ID - this will include the session timing, counsellor's name, the counsellor's email ID and the location of the Centre.

  • In case you are unable to make it the Centre, you may also have your session online. For this, you have to set up a Google Meet link and send it to your counsellor on their email ID.

Please note:

  • The fresh slots for the coming week open up every Sunday around 5 pm and remain open through the week until booked.

  • You can book only one appointment in a week unless mutually decided with your counsellor to meet more frequently.

  • We encourage you to continue working with the same counsellor.

  • You can also walk-in to the Centre and any counsellor who is available would attend to you for a short session
